Shrink Sheets

Shrink film is a material made up of plastic film. When heat is applied to this material it shrinks tightly over whatever it is covering.

Shrink-wrap is one of the most popular forms of packaging, and usually one of the most inexpensive forms of packaging. Shrink wrap protects the product. Shrink-wrap is used for making multi-packs such as commonly found in Sam's, Costco, and most major retailers.

Shrink wrap increases the shelf appeal of the product. Shrink-wrap helps in reducing pilferage, especially if you use heavy gauge film. Shrink-wrapping is a very simple process where a closed bag is formed around the product, typically using a sealer, and then the enclosed product is subjected to heat, which shrinks the plastic film around the product. Shrink wrap is available in a variety of thicknesses, clarities, colors strengths and shrink ratios.

Shrink wrap is commonly used as an overwrap on many types of packaging: CDs, DVDs, cartons, books, beverage cans, large appliances, pallet loads, combining two different packages or parts, etc. It can be the primary covering for some foods such as cheese and meats. It is also used to cover boats after manufacture and for winter storage.

Shrink advantage:

  • Shrink film represents a large price advantage over traditional packaging methods

  • The low volume and weight of shrink film saves additional storage.

  • Shrink film protects from humidity, dust, and dirt.

  • Shrink packaging allows for storage in the refrigerator, ice, or water.

  • Printed shrink film is an attractive alternative to traditional packaging methods and can help increase brand awareness and loyalty.

  • Up to 75% less shrink material is needed compared to corrugated products.
